This group was launched in October 2011 at the request of many of our congregation who were ‘passing through’ Madrid either working temporarily or on holiday. The main aim is to keep in touch with all those who have fond memories of their work, worship and friendships formed during their time in Madrid. As a result, our ‘Friends’ are widely scattered throughout the world.
The community of St. George’s is dynamic and growing despite the constantly migrating population. It has been a haven for many during troubled times and is there to provide the support of prayer and friendship to all, including those who have moved to new pastures.
Next year will mark the 90th anniversary of the consecration of St George’s. Planning for celebrations are still in their very early stages but it would be great to see some old friends who will be able to renew contacts and meet Father Paul and the current ministry team. Watch the website and/or the Facebook page for details of services and events and do come and be with us if at all possible.
The Church is nothing without its congregation, near and far, so join us and help us all to support each other wherever we are by keeping in touch and continuing to share in our ministry and church.
