St George’s is on the corner of Calle Núñez de Balboa and Calle Hermosilla in the barrio Salamanca district of Madrid.
By car: There is on-street parking around the church which is free on Sundays. There are underground car parks on Calle Velázquez (3 minute walk) and Calle Hermosilla (5 minute walk). For those worried about the new 2019 traffic emissions restrictions please see the map below. St. George´s is outside this area and so it should be easy to arrive at Church without passing through the protected zone (and if you live there you will know all about this in any case!)
That said, don’t forget you will need a “pegatina”, obtainable from Post offices (“Correos”), if you have a diesel car registered since 2006 or a petrol car registered since 2000 and want to enter Madrid within the M-30. If you have an older car you cannot get a sticker but you can still drive around Madrid but only outside the protected zone. More information here (in Spanish):
Please also be aware that fairly frequently the centre of Madrid is used for sporting events that inevitably restrict access to St George’s on a Sunday.
Fortunately there is ample notice of these (in Spanish) on:
